Symposium 2020

3 days / 18 talks
Historian’s Craft & the Art of Teaching History

March 2-4, 2020

We will explore the nature of history, the development of historiography, the relationship between history and other disciplines, and the masterful teaching of history. Designed as the nexus between K-12 practitioners and professional historians, Symposium 2020 aims to deepen our understanding of the discipline of history, while equipping K-12 teachers and school leaders.

Early-bird registration runs through January 7. But, why wait? Sign up by Friday, October 4 and have your name added to the lottery for a VIP dinner (plus a guest) with the Institute’s keynote speakers and advisors on Monday, March 2. (The lottery winner will be announced on “World Teachers’ Day,” October 5, 2019.)
